Fresh Fish & Seafood
While we provide the best quality fish and seafood at unbeatable prices, we also want our customers to rest assured that our products are responsibly sourced. Our everyday fish and seafood range includes smoked fish, white fish, and lot's more tasty catches.
Responsible Sourcing
Overfishing is a major global problem that is caused, quite simply, by fishing at rates too high for species to replace themselves. More than 30% of the world’s fisheries have been pushed beyond their biological limits!
To maintain fish stocks long-term, Lidl have committed to sourcing 100% fish and seafood products from independently certified sustainable fisheries by the end of 2019 (MSC or recognised Irish FIP's for wild caught fish and ASC or GLOBAL G.A.P. Aquaculture Standard for farmed fish).
100% of Lidl’s canned tuna is already responsibly sourced using either ‘pole and line’ fishing method; Fish Aggregation Devise (FAD)-free fishing practices or is MSC certified. Already 80% of wild caught chilled and frozen fish is certified to the MSC standard.

MSC Blue Label
What does the blue MSC label mean?
The MSC is an independent, non-profit organisation established to address the problem of unsustainable fishing and safeguard seafood supplies for the future. When you buy MSC-labelled fish at Lidl, you’re making a sustainable choice and helping to make fishing fleets around the world more sustainable. This ensures that there are plenty of fish left in our oceans for future generations.

Lighthouse Bay
Lighthouse Bay produce a selection of fresh fish including ready-to-cook dishes with limited edition flavours. Their mission is simple - to take the fear out of cooking fish and replace it with pure honest deliciousness.
We are also reducing the amount of plastic we use in our fish and seafood range and have removed unrecyclable black plastic.
Coleman Keoane - Bantry, Co. Cork
Keohane's of Bantry is run by Colman Keohane, his brother Brian and their father Mike. They supply Lidl with their skin filmed packaged fish, to not only allow customers see exactly what they're buying but also to preserve the freshness of the fish for longer.
